If you are making your way to the planetarium, the
Jacobsen Observatory should absolutely be on your list
as well. Once the skies are dark, the 6-inch refractive
telescope is presented to the public to explore space.
Tickets to the observatory are free as well, however, are
limited in number, so make sure you arrive a little before
nightfall to secure a spot.
Henry Art Gallery:
If you are curious about art, the Henry Art Gallery is
your holy space. Internationally recognized for its bold
exhibitions, the gallery embodies the influence of art to
move and inspire by tapping into the transformative power
of creative expression. It rotates its exhibits with time.
The gallery will provide you with a space to get lost in the
midst of the curated expressions of creative minds. The
gallery is open on Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm and from
Friday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm and accepts a $0-20
suggested donation as an admission fee.
The Unity Museum:
Visit the Unity Museum to experience their rotating
exhibits that celebrate humanity. With values of
societal unity, justice, and peace, the museum offers
presentations and opportunities for public discourse
topics concerning the advancement of civilization. The
museum is free of cost to visit, and invites all individuals
to come and be a part of the celebration of culture and
diversity. Each month the museum organizes events to
engage visitors beyond the exhibits by conducting crafts,
meditation, and dance days. Through this participation,
they increase visitor involvement in topics of attention.
The museum is open from 11 am to 2 pm on Tuesday,
Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, so utilize your time
access to the Unity Museum well by engaging with as
much as you possibly can!
Meany Center for the Performing Arts:
When you think of innovative performances, think no
further than Meany Center for the Performing Arts. With
the kick-off of season 2024-25, exciting events have
already started lining up. Be it musical, dance, or even
acrobatic performances, you will not be disappointed by
the sheer talent of the performers at the Meany Center.
Out of the plethora of events, you can choose shows of
your interest and indulge in soul-shaking artistic displays.
